What this covers

This policy explains what information Building Chloe Company ("Building Chloe", "we") collects through buildingchloe.com, why we collect it, and how it is handled.

Information we collect

When you use the "Build My Business System" form, we collect what you choose to enter: business type, current website status, where your enquiries come from, your biggest bottleneck, how you track customers, whether you need bookings, and — at the final step — your name, company, email and/or WhatsApp number. If you message us on WhatsApp directly, we receive whatever WhatsApp shares for that conversation (your number and messages). We do not collect payment information — Building Chloe does not process payments on this website.

How we use it

• To understand your business context and respond with something relevant, by email or WhatsApp
• To keep an internal record so our team stays consistent if more than one person is involved
• We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes

Where it's stored

Form submissions are stored in a private database (Supabase, hosted in Singapore) that only Building Chloe's team can access — protected by database-level access rules restricted to one authenticated admin account, not just a login screen. It is not publicly visible or readable by other website visitors.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as reasonably useful for following up and for our own business records, and delete or anonymise them on request (see "Your rights" below). We don't have an automated deletion schedule yet — if this matters to you, tell us and we'll act on it directly.

Analytics — what we track and what we don't

We track anonymous usage events (which pages you view, which buttons you click, where you came from) to understand what's useful on this site. This never includes your name, email, phone number, or anything you typed into the form's free-text answers. We use your browser's local storage (not a tracking cookie) to remember which campaign or link first brought you here, purely so we can tell which marketing efforts are working — this stays anonymous unless you separately submit the form.

Cookies

This website does not currently run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. It uses standard, privacy-neutral third-party services to load fonts (Google Fonts), icons (Font Awesome/cdnjs), styling (Tailwind CDN) and the form/analytics backend (Supabase) — these may set minimal technical cookies or use browser storage as part of normal delivery, not to build an advertising profile of you. If we ever connect Google Analytics (GA4), we'll update this section and, if required, add a cookie consent control before it loads.

Who else sees this data (our service providers)

We use Supabase (database hosting, Singapore) and Vercel (website hosting) to run this site. These providers can technically access data as part of running their infrastructure, but do not use it for their own purposes. We do not currently use an official WhatsApp Business API — WhatsApp conversations happen through your own WhatsApp app, subject to WhatsApp's own privacy terms, not ours.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time. Contact buildingchloe@hotmail.com for any of these requests — we'll respond directly, verifying it's really you before making changes to your data.

Malaysia data protection law

This policy is written to support the principles of Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and its 2024 amendments. We have not undergone a formal legal compliance review — treat this as a good-faith, accurate description of our actual practices rather than a certified legal compliance statement. Legal review recommended before relying on this page for formal compliance purposes.
